flytotheworldYet another translation that's just been sitting on my HD for a good month. Seriously, I had almost the entire thing done and then just let it rot there, all because the wording of one sentence was bothering me. Hi, I'm Brigit, and I'm both super ADD and a ridiculous perfectionist. How are you today? 8D I mostly translated this just cos Sho's facial expressions were adorable (and I kept getting distracted by all the adorbs and sexy faces he made when I was translating...). I still haven't finished watching through "Kabachi"... maybe I can finally do that now. I've translated all this stuff about it; I might as well, right?

Sho Sakurai: Tokujo Kabachi!!
In "Tokujo Kabachi!!" Sakurai-kun certainly portrays the zealous Tamura with the passion he has inside him. With those passionate thoughts, in this drama, he has sexy facial expressions aplently which we aren't often able to see.
Tamura and his job are at odds, so he has to prepare himself.
An administrator that passionately helps the weak, Tamura Katsuhiro. Although originally called a hero, which wasn't that odd, however, he wasn't naive in that way about the law...
"In good and bad, he's not just thinking about the people that trust in him, he's also thinking about his the other parties. Of course, it would be best if both parties were happy, but that isn't always practical. Law is really difficult, and I feel like being a lawyer is also a really hard job. But I like that Tamura keeps passionately piercing on through, wrapping up his bad thoughts, and no matter how many times he's knocked down or humiliated, he stands right back up again. Rather than just sympathizing with him, I kinda think I'd like to be that way."
He can't always be that way, but Tamura helps the people that trust in him. What do you think he's learned from those experiences?
"With the people at whom he's at odds in his job, he's wondering what kind of life an administrator leads. In episode 6, when he had to get money back from a lawyer for a confidant, I think that was the turning point for him. In that he really discovered the meaning of his job and so I think he has to be able to prepare himself to be at odds with his line of work. His seniors are always getting mad at him even when he's just flitting around the office (laughs), but I have the feeling everyone will acknowledge him little by little."
My wish is for Tamura to remain unchanged
Speaking of the norm, it's pretty much nothing but fighting with Sumiyoshi (Horikita Maki).
"I sorta noticed that, too, but that's the way it is (laughs). Not realizing that is impossible for Tamura. The progression of love is a puzzle. Nevertheless, looking at them as a duo, they don't seem to work but in truth, that's not the case. Well, it's more like their unevenness doesn't feel like it really meshes well, but I do think the two of them are probably right for each other."1
In the beginning you two were greatly at odds with each other, but does it feel like that's changed now?
"I feel like Sumiyoshi seems cool and collected, and Tamura is holding the same kind of passion secretly in himself. But for Sumiyoshi, she has an abundance of experience in dealing with and being right about things. She has regrets, but she also has a lot of real strength that she doesn't even realize she has. If we're talking about intentions, she could be a little gentler. When she says, 'you smell like an old man,' I can't help but crack up (laughs).
Before you came to the photoshoot, you were going over and analyzing "I quibble (am argumentative2) probably" with Horikita-san. Could it be that Sumiyoshi and Tamura actually have a really good relationship?!
"Oh no, no, it's still the same. Horikita-san and me were just reviewing our lines between takes and joking around with Shigemori (Endo Kenichi) and Eida (Takahashi Katsumi)! I got dragged into it, but Horikita-san was like "now's kind of not good..." and backed out. She's not argumentative but she's someone that will straight out tell you what her intentions are. That's so cool~. 'I want to be like that, too,' I think to myself while I'm always getting dragged into stuff (laughs)."
There's only a little bit left in the story. We heard your producer said that, "Sakurai-san still doesn't know, but from here on out, there's a big development on the way."
"... I don't know about the details, but I did kind of have the feeling that there would be one (laughs). But that's good, though; other secrets will reveal themselves. My wish is for Tamura to stay unchanged ... Will I at least get that? After that, I'd like him to quickly take the notary public test. When he got his business card, under his full name it says, 'assistant' and if a partner sees it, he gets really discouraged, so for a drama he has a lot of regrets. But if he is a partner, then he could understand that viewpoint, and so that's why I want him to pass the exam. However, he doesn't really seem to be studying to the best of his ability, so he can't exactly take my advice (laughs). "
Don't quote me on all them legal terms in the last paragraph. Even just what Tamura does in Kabachi is confusing enough in English, so I don't even know if I translated them correctly.

Date: 2010-11-08 07:07 am (UTC)Sho-chan in this drama is really funny. Even though the story is suppose to be something reallt serious, but Sho-chan can never make me too get so tense on the story. I mean he doesn't make the whole drama stress out too much :)
In this drama, Sho-chan reallh have many kind of his expressions. I found that really cute ^^ He was able to express his emotion in every part of the drama. ^^
And I think Sho-chan is pretty cool in this one too. Even though he was only assistant, but there are a lot of things that he knows about the law ne I think that's pretty cool ^^ I mean I won't know any of this because I think most of the time it's a very small detail that some people may not know, but they can learn through the drama along with Tamura-san as he had to handle each client differently :)
Tamura and Sumiyoshi sensei were another part of the drama that I like too. I think these two can get along well if they're actually lawyers or something like in a drama would work too ^^ But it must be hard to understand those kind of laws ne ^^' I'm sure Sho-chan must have studying hard about the law too ^^' And of course he did a good job as expected from Sakurai Sho :)
