Work has kept me so busy lately I haven't gotten to translate V6 things and that makes me sad. Since I'm done with most of my prep for Japanese preschool this week, here's a short translation.
I love looking for cookware in Kappabashi. I feel like a kid in a candy store.
Since the beginning of this year, I've been taking it easy. I recently went on location to Kappabashi, and it just sparked a desire to go shopping for flatware and cookware (laughs). I bought stuff like half a stalk of bamboo that you can put soba in, and there's still a lot more I want to buy. An earthen charcoal braiser for one person to use, a boat for boat-wrap sushi, a pot for shabu-shabu, a sushi geta1 ... that sort of thing. Kappabashi has just a ton of stores related to utensils, so it's really, really fun, and I'll definitely find things I'll want to buy there. I feel like a kid in a candy store (laughs). As to why I want all these things, when I call my friends over to my house to eat and bring out all this genuine professional equipment -- that's neat, right? And when they're like "DUDE, you have this sort of stuff in your house?!", I'm just tickled pink (laughs).
Before, when Okada won Best Actor at the Japan Academy Awards, I was going to send him a text, but he changed his mail address so I couldn't send it (laughs). Okada is someone who's known what he has to do for quite a long time. When Okada, Inohara, and I were all doing the musical, "MASK," Okada got a high fever, and when he didn't speak during the talk session, it made the fans worry. So Inohara and I got mad at him, and he came to apologize. Even though he was still in his teens and not corrupted or anything like that, I didn't really think there were people left who would apologize for things. When he got into movies, for his roles and for the projects he does, he does what he has to do with all his strength. From now on, I want him to keep going, without overworking himself and without getting hurt.
It's a little ways off, but we'll be releasing our new song, "Timeless." It's a ballad whose main, big meaning is not only that love doesn't have any limits, but also has a meaning of being bonded, and I think it's also probably a song where you can also feel connected to our 20th anniversary. In the music video, there's the past, present, and future V6 all in one scene, and while that may be a little weird, I hope you'll enjoy it.

01. A little tray that looks like the bottom of a geta (traditional Japanese sandal) that you put sushi on.
