Finally managed to get through those sentences that were tripping me up. Ken, you're so difficult. But it's okay because I love you a lot. The last paragraph of this is my favourite. Ken gets it is all I'll say.
"It's a concert that includes a stimulating surprise!"
"Even on this tour, we plan to take on things no one else has done before. When they're watching our concerts, I want to make everyone have so much fun that all their troubles fly away."
It's a concert tour after about a year and a half! We really made you wait a long time! Because we made you wait so long, we want to make it up to you by making this a concert where you'll be totally fulfilled.
In our 2011 tour, our first performance in Yokohama Arena in 10 years really left an impression. It's a venue we're really familiar with, so it really took me back. In Yokohama Arena, while we've done concerts there with the 360 degree stage, we're returning to our starting point, but I think it was a good experience for us. That's because there was a theme of "how wil only the six of us be able to fill up the space?" When you do plays in the round, there's a risk that there are a lot of sides of the performance that the audience won't be able to see. So I thought there was a need to not rely on the screens when we were performing. I'm also glad that, in my solo, "Kanashii hodo ni a-i-do-ru ~garasu no kutsu~," I was able to do it on the 360 stage. The song incorporates an episode from when I was in my teens, and about me coming into my own as an idol. I was bathed in the spotlights from just one direction, and so it was a very idol-esque performance, and I thought I'd finally perfected the song. We did seasonal concerts back when we debuted. So we had Tonisen and Kamisen concerts, and I'm sure people have that image of us coming together on the stage in Yokohama Arena. For me personally, I liked that pace that we had going, but would it be hard on the other members' bodies? (laughs)
We do this every tour, but we plan to "take on things no one has ever done before." To do that, we thought of a lot of different things. First of all, we did a complete 180 on the stage. This time, you'll know when you get to the venue, we were really particular on a lot of the details, so I feel like the quality went up quite considerably. I think even the way we use the stage has changed. The exact details are still a secret, but the cranes are kind of a "luxury." This sort of "move from 3-D back to a level plane," and because we want to try out different ways of conceiving of performances, please try to get an actual sense of that. Each time, when we do concerts, we don't want our fans to get bored, so we always want to do things that are astonishing. With the fans and us, as boyfriend and girlfriend, I get the feeling our mannerisms definitely haven't changed (*laughs*). That's why this concert also features a stimulating surprise!
The members were really involved with the production of our album, "Oh! My! Goodness!" I'm certain you'll se a "V6 you've never seen before," due to our involvement with the setlist. The songs on this album... I really love them all! And I'm really curious about things like how we'll perform "BINGO" which Inohara produced. A concert is a space where you experience things with your eyes and your ears, and we're all really looking forward to how we'll give the songs we produced back to our fans. And now, when we listen to them, we're filled with curiosity about what kind of reactions we'll get and really want to see what kind of reactions we get. So performing in front of our fans, I think it'll also bring out a hidden charm in each of the songs. I think we can carefully raise1 the album songs through this three month tour. Bringing these songs to adulthood, we're really anticipating seeing what kind of changes our performances will go through as we do more of them. In "Otona Guyz," the six of us come together onstage very quickly, so it's a kind of prattling performance. It's a cool dance combined with kind of a comical performance, so it really gets us excited. And one more thing: I've got my song for this tour, one which we'll be unveiling for the first time on this tour, much like we did with "Supernova" on the last one. It's a song that makes great use of the sound of a camera shutter. Look forward to seeing what kind of song it is when you see it live!
The special feature with this is 3-D projection mapping. We put together several screens to do the 3-D projection mapping, so the expectation is... Making use of this tour's theme, we're using a thing that's basically "making a monument of characters that represent V6." For the first time, each member aggressively worked on our album, "Oh! My! Goodness!" For this kind of group to try to do this sort of thing for the first time, I feel like it's once again a time for us to have to be taking "V6" upon ourselves again. With this new approach, we got the inspiration to do a monument of our group's name. There are 6 of us in V6: it was that way in the past, it's the way it is now, and it won't change in the future. At this point in time, venturing to "take V6 upon ourselves," I feel like we're declaring our intentions to push forward, and once again keep going without stopping. As far as the result, please be the judge of that when you see it on stage.
Before every show -- I say it every time, but I say a little prayer, all "please let me shine!" (laughs) I have this image of the things I want to show spreading, like a wave, from the innermost parts of me to my eyes out over the audience to the person sitting farthest away. For us, because we do a lot of shows, there are probably a lot of people we'll only get to see once. That's why we have to give our very best every time we're on stage. It's a major point of us to have our concerts be cool and the best performance we can give. But, it's not just that, I also think it's vital for us to enjoy ourselves when we're on stage.
When we debuted, Sakamoto-kun set the rule that we'd "have fun," but I'm only just now understanding the basis for that "fun." For me, I've gone to a lot of different artists' concerts, and if I had to describe the purpose of that, it would be to get energy to "do my best tomorrow." Of course, concerts are inspirational, and for V6 fans, too, they have their own lives that they'll be going back to the next day, so I want to give them energy to do that. Life isn't just fun, it's also hard, and a lot of bad things happen... but for the time when they're watching our concerts, I want them to forget the pain or the sadness, and absorb a ton of energy and get happy. I want to make everyone have so much fun that all their troubles fly away.
