Here's the last of the individual interviews. Last is the messages for the fans and then we're done!
We composed the tour mascot with everyone's wishes and to hold everyone in our hands and heal everyone...
- "Miyake-san, what is this tour's 'theme' to you?"
We want to get everyone as pumped up as possible;" it's like that every time. This time around, there was also the earthquake in March, and it was something that affected a lot of people, not just the people in the region. So while taking that to heart, I feel like that we should do a concert like we always do.
- "With V6's concerts, I feel like high-quality dance is the highlight."
It's become second nature to have our emotions flow out through our dancing. It's not just the dancing iitself -- we express human emtion (joy, anger, pathos, and humour) through dance. If there's something we can leave in our fans' hearts, I want to show them dances full of emotion.
- "It seems like the choreographer is someone you requested this time."
It was the shit kingz, who won the world dance exhibition held in the United States, and who flourished globally. I routinely seek out interesting dancers, so I was always interested in them.
- "Actually, how was it dancing with them?"
With their dances, the way they use their bodies and their formations are unique. I thought, "if the 6 of us in V6 did these sorts of dances, how would it turn out?" and so I recommended them. Just as I thought, they choreographed a really interesting dance. I'm confident the fans will also be happy with it!
- "What song did they do?"
Our song "Break the Wall," which samples the theme from "SP," which Okada starred in. It was a song with limited release, so this concert will be the first time we'll be performing it. It's a song we're really excited about, so everyone else please keep your eyes open for it. Also, noppo from the shit kingz also produced my solo, "kanashi hodo ni a-i-do-ru."
- "With your solo, what kind of performance will it be?"
So I can improve my skills, I always request particularly difficult choreography for my solos. The song I did for our 10th anniversary concert, (the first time I saw the choreography for it), I couldn't really see myself dancing it because the degree of difficulty was so high, but when the performances was over, even I was surprised by how much my skill had gone up. That's why I think this time it will also be even more intense.
- "How is the concert composed this time?"
We dive right in from the beginning, and hold that high level of intensity until the end. Especially in our first 5 songs, they're really energetic, so that we can carry the audience along with us. Actually, the setlist this time is comprised of album and b-side songs.
- "That's really fresh."
This was a joint decision. But, I only wanted to do the b-sides. Everyone disagreed with me (laughs), but finally, this time I feel like we met halfway.
- "You designed the tour mascot, right?"
It was my turn to do the tour goods, and I said I wanted to have a mascot. I mulled over a few different animals but ultimately decided on a panda.
- "Why a panda?"
For me, "white = gentleness" and "black = strength." When I thought of which animals were comprised of these two colours, I thought of a panda. Pandas are popular and comforting. The Nepalese etymology of "panda" seems to mean "in our hands." With our hands, we want to embrace everyone.
- "That's a very deep meaning."
But that's how I feel. I'd be happy if people picked up our goods without that in mind, and that's why there's a lot of cute goods this time.
- "Once more, what sort of a place is a concert to you?"
I've been able to do a lot of different kinds of work, but for me, concerts are something we can present anywhere. Song, dance, MC... it's not just one of these things, but it's a precious opportunity for me to be able to see many sides of myself. I want to take advantage of these different opportunities and not be stereotyped.
