Another random req-fill via tumblr (I'm at work with nothing to do and basically getting paid to sit around and translate gay rainbow band things). There's a little more to this but I won't get to it till later tonight or tomorrow. I don't have my electronic dictionary with me and Japanese language support isn't enabled on my work computer and it's kinda really pissing me off. Just kidding, it's all done now! If I have time at work again, I'll start on the other member's :)

But enough "cool story bro," have some random Jun stats/questions. I have no idea what "standard size" is supposed to mean, but whatevs. As a lazy American, I kinda wanna convert these to imperial units, too, but I'm too lazy, so let's all use this as a chance to learn the metric system! 8D

When was your first love? What was she like?
In Kindergarten, my teacher, Mrs. Itou. I was always sitting on her lap, and she called me “Jun,” my first name. Well, actually her husband’s name was also “Jun.” (laughs)

A time you got hurt
I was in a traffic accident in second grade. I still have the scar from that.

Your tale of valour*
In that accident, when I collided with the truck, I probably wouldn’t have been able to recover if I hit the front part of the truck, so even now I feel like since I acted reflexively, I got dragged by the left rear wheel. People are amazing, aren’t they? (*gleams*)

Your first impression of the other members
Sho was wearing white and blue sneakers, Aiba was waiting around to play basketball, the first time I met Nino he was worn out (when he talks about Nino and the other Jrs, he’s known them for awhile), and I don’t really have an impression of Leader... probably since we met so naturally, I can’t really remember (laughs)

Your best subject
Math and science, probably. I also like individual histories, but when you talk about which subject I’m best at, I think it’s math and science. Even now I think the way I think is kind of logical* like that.

Your favourite school lunch menu
Chocolate fried bread (laughs)

Memories of your first appearance in “duet”
I can’t really remember. Rather than the situation of the shoot itself, I have this image of the person in charge of doing the editing for the Jrs (laughs)

Your ideal woman
Probably someone that wouldn't have to depend on me.

Your most treasured item right now
I... don’t really have an attachment to any one thing right now. The people around me, I certainly treasure, but as for an object... no, not really.

What’s your theme song?
It’s not an Arashi song! Only because those songs belong to all five of us. Besides, I’m like an Arashi song in that I’m not always positive (laughs). But if I have to say one, it’s probably “A-RA-SHI.”

About “Wagaya no Rekishi”
I still haven’t watched it so I don’t know how it ends. Since I met Mitani Kouki-san, the movies which I’ve gone to see lately have been ones by him, and we’ve talked a little, but he said to me, “You portrayed Yoshio quite well.” I relaxed quite a bit when he said that to me. I had been thinking a lot about the way I portrayed Yoshio, so when he said “good job,” to me, I was honestly really pleased. All the actors went out to eat together, and we were always together when we were on-location, and so it really felt like we created a real family-type atmosphere. I thought it was really interesting, as well. (Airing on Fuji TV, Apr 9-11th at 9PM)

Self-promotion
I can be a concert director!

Lately...

Lately I've been watching plays. Specifically, two by Mitani Kouki and "Shanghai Bansking." "Naniwa Butterfly" was super interesting. Toda Ayako was too unbelievably brilliant! Then, Katori Shingo-kun's "TALK LIKE SINGING" was truly a work by Mitani Kouki. It really was amazing. It's certainly because of the people Mitani dreams up, yeah? Even "Wagaya no Rekishi" was a really heart-rending work. Kota Hideko was amazing in "Shangai!" In a performance after 16 years, the actors and staff and even the audience felt like "this time was miraculous" and truly precious, there was a really enjoyable atmosphere, and in the middle of all that was Hideko-san, and she was really the embodiment of her character. It really grabbed a hold of me. I've seen a lot of different plays, but they've all kind of been of the same variety. The subject and even the playhouse at which I saw them. This was a musical, so Hideko-san sang, and everyone really felt like it was a performance, so might also be because of that. After the performance, Hideko-san was singing "Under the Apple Tree" for us even out in the lobby. All the actors looked like they really had fun. I honestly think everyone walked away from the playhouse feeling like they'd really seen something precious. And I thought to myself again, "I wanna do a play, too!"

Hair
It's sort of a soft hairstyle. My bangs look pretty stupid, so I've gotten them to swoop back naturally. The side also has its own nuances, so it's a style in progress.

. notes .
*1. the kanji here literally mean "martial arts story," but it's really basically just a "chicks dig scars, tell us about yours."
*2. he means logical in a math-science kind of way, versus us cool kids in the humanities/social sciences which are more theoretical
